To honor the two-year anniversary of A$AP Yams’ death, A$AP Rocky put together a huge tribute show for the second annual Yams Day at New York’s Theatre at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night (Jan. 18).
The lineup featured A$AP Rocky, A$AP Ferg, A$AP Mob, Tyler the Creator, Lil Uzi Vert, Cam’ron, Danny Brown, and T-Pain. Rocky also called in Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, and French Montana as surprise guests.
Lamar gave a performance of “m.A.A.d. city” as The Weeknd sang “Low Life” (minus Future). The Toronto singer also had some generous words to say about the late A$AP Yams.
“One time make some noise for A$AP Yams,” said The Weeknd. “R.I.P. That’s a brother right there. He’s for the culture. A$AP’s the culture. XO’s the culture. Make some motherf–king noise.”
